Q: How do I register my team?

Registration for SAT3v3 tournaments will be on the Paintball Leagues website.


Q: How much will it cost to enter?

Please check the Tournament Information page for the upcoming tournament on pbleagues.com.


Q: What paint will be used?

Tournament-grade paintballs from $50 per case.


Q: What are the prize packages?

Top finishers at each tournament can expect to receive medals and a selection of unique and fun prizes!

Q: What rules will be used?

The most recent NXL Match Play Rulebook will be used. Any rule modifications are either stated on this page or will be announced prior to each tournament and/or at the captains’ meeting.


Q: Will the layout be released prior to the tournament?

The layout will always be BLIND. The layout will be built and released the day before the tournament.


Q: What divisions will be offered?

  • Beginner (D6) 3v3
  • Novice (D5) 3v3
  • Intermediate (D4) 3v3

Q: Can my Beginner team roster a D5 ranked player?

No. Only unranked players can roster on a beginner team.

NOTE: even if you started out the season as a beginner and since have ranked up mid-season to D5 or higher, you are no longer a beginner and must compete in a higher division.


Q: Can my Novice team roster a D4 player?

Yes, your Novice team may roster one D4 ranked player.


Q: Can my Intermediate team roster a D3 player?

Yes, your Intermediate team may roster one D3 ranked player.


Q: What formats will be offered?

NXL 3v3 format


Q: Do these events count for points on PBLeagues?

Yes, points will be awarded to players based on placement in each event.


Q: Where will the tournaments be held?

All SAT3v3 tournaments are held at XFactor Paintball Park in San Antonio, Texas.


Q: What firing modes will be allowed?

Maximum rate of fire (ROF), maximum feet per second (FPS), and ramping modes will be set according to the most recent NXL Match Play rulebook. Any variance from these rules (e.g., pump, mech, stock class, etc.) will be announced prior to each tournament.


Q: Do I have to wear a chinstrap?

Seriously? Chinstraps have been required for years, now. Why are you even asking this question? YES. You are required to wear a chinstrap with your goggles.


Q: Do I have to wear jersey / longsleeve? Can I play in shorts?

Per current NXL Match Play Rule 6.4.2 Players must wear full pants, and long sleeve jerseys as their outer layer.


Q: Do you need refs?

The head referee for each tournament hire referees. NXL-certified referees are preferred. If you are interested in refereeing, Contact Us.


Q: May I take photos/videos of the games for a fee?

You are welcome to take photo or videos on the field as long as you to not interfere with gameplay. There is no fee for media, but it would be nice if you shared photos with us to use to promote the series.


Q: May I set up a vendor booth for a fee?

There is no fee for vendors at SAT3v3 events. You are welcome to set up your booth, but we recommend you talk to the field management to be sure you have permission to operate your business on their property.


Q: Will there be a live stream?

We do not have a live stream. If you would like to provide a live stream, please contact us!


Q: Is the snake hot?

The snake is always hot.
